British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been taken to the hospital for treatment as he battles coronavirus. “On the advice of his doctor, the Prime Minister has tonight been admitted to hospital for tests. This is a precautionary step, as the Prime Minister continues to have persistent symptoms of coronavirus ten days after testing positive for the virus,” Downing Street said. Prayers for his recovery.

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been admitted to hospital for tests over his infection with coronavirus, ten days after he was first diagnosed.

The official office and residence of the UK Prime Minister, 10 Downing Street, announced the hospitalisation late Sunday, an hour after the British head of state Queen Elizabeth II addressed the nation from Windsor Castle. A statement from Downing Street said the admission to hospital of the Prime Minister was as “precautionary step” for further tests after he tested positive for the virus on March 27th.

[…] Emphasising that the Prime Minister has not been incapacitated, Downing Street said Mr Johnson remained in control of the government. The development follows the PM nominating a member of the cabinet ‘designated survivor‘ to assume his duties should he be unable to execute them — foreign secretary Dominic Raab, a prominent Brexiteer.

Meanwhile Queen Elizabeth II addressed the nation:

This policy certain states are taking is the wrong approach. Hydroxychloroquine needs to be prescribed as soon as one gets confirmation that they have the Coronavirus. Studies show that the success rate when administered early is absolutely amazing.

From the article linked above:

Enough is enough. New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo needs to IMMEDIATELY lift his pharmacy ban that is forcing New Yorkers stricken by the coronavirus into an already overburdened hospital system to get the potentially life-saving drug hydroxychloroquine.

Because of an executive order issued by the Democratic governor, any new prescriptions for hydroxychloroquine must go through the already overrun hospital system. This makes no sense.

Sources tell me that Cuomo has access to MILLIONS of doses of hydroxychloroquine right now. The federal government has tens of millions of doses and has made millions of doses available to the New York governor.

I live on Long Island and many doctors are telling me that they want to prescribe this medication to their patients who test positive for COVID-19 – the disease caused by the coronavirus – but do NOT need the patient to come to a hospital. However, Cuomo’s executive order forbids pharmacies from filling the prescriptions.

The governor is creating a much bigger crisis in his state’s hospital system by denying New Yorkers THE CHOICE (in consultation with their doctors) to take this potentially life-saving medication.

Our President is absolutely right!

[…] But during Saturday’s White House press briefing, Trump stepped up to the microphone unprompted to reference the drug combination again just moments after Fauci addressed a reporter’s question about the number of COVID-19 cases and deaths expected this coming week.

[…] Returning to the topic of ventilators, the president said that one reason he keeps touting the unproven drug combination is because of reports that a significant number of COVID-19 patients who are placed on ventilators do not regain enough lung function to have the ventilators withdrawn.

“One of the reasons that I keep talking about hydroxychloroquine is that the question that nobody ever asks, and the question that I most hate the answer to, is what happens if you do have a ventilator,” Trump said.

“But when you have a ventilator… and it’s working beautifully, I don’t like the answer because it’s not a very high percentage,” he continued.

“So I want to keep them out of ventilators, I want to keep them — if this drug works, it will be not a game changer because that’s not a nice enough term. It will be wonderful, it’ll be so beautiful, it’ll be a gift from heaven if it works, because when people go into those ventilators, you know the answers, and I’m glad you don’t write about it.”

Here is another success story out of Michigan!

From the article linked above:

A Macomb County patient was recently given a drug typically used for malaria that is showing positive results for beating COVID-19.

Jim Santilli said it helped him and he believes it could help others, too.

“I was struggling to breathe. I felt like I was slowly drowning and I was sitting there thinking I’m not going to make it until midnight,” he said.

Santilli says the experimental drugs Hydroxychloroquine and Azithromycin brought him back from the brink.  The 38-year old was prescribed the drugs a little more than a week ago at Henry Ford Macomb where he was hospitalized for COVID-19.

He says a doctor told him they’d exhausted treatment options. An infectious disease physician recommended he try both.

[…] “I truly think the American people can have hope that we have something here that works and can help us get through this horrible situation,” he said.

I pray that the Devil doesn’t win this battle.

Nothing will stop our President and his campaign team.

From the article linked above:

The Trump campaign is now doing online broadcasts seven nights a week — filling a void in physical events and field organizing due to the coronavirus.

Why it matters: So far, these online broadcasts, which have not yet featured the president, have regularly gotten more than 1 million views across all social platforms, according to the campaign.

Behind the scenes:

  • The campaign’s field team made more than 3.1 million phone calls between March 13 and 21, according to senior campaign officials. That’s more calls than the campaign’s field team has made in any week since October 2018, just before the midterm elections, said a senior campaign official.

The stats: The campaign says it has signed up more than 275,000 new volunteers since the switch to all-virtual on March 13. A senior campaign official said this is significantly higher than normal.

  • To put that number in perspective, the official said that in all of 2016, the total number of volunteers between the RNC and the Trump campaign was about 750,000.
  • Asked why he thought the campaign had seen a boost in volunteers during a pandemic, a senior campaign official said people were at home, had extra time on their hands and wanted to interact with like-minded people.
  • The official said the campaign’s goal is to have 2 million volunteers engaged for this “and currently we’re at 884,857.”

Our President and the Coronavirus Task Force held a press briefing yesterday with the latest updates and information.

This is the man they think can beat our President!

Judge Kelly continues to look good in Wisconsin!

Our President and his team continue to fight for us!

From the article linked above:

President Donald Trump’s political operation is launching a multimillion-dollar legal campaign aimed at blocking Democrats from drastically changing voting rules in response to the coronavirus outbreak.

In the past several weeks, the reelection campaign and the Republican National Committee have helped to oversee maneuvering in a handful of battleground states with an eye toward stopping some Democratic efforts to alter voting laws, and to bolster Trump. The mobilization is being closely coordinated with Republicans at the state and local levels.

The Trump campaign and RNC are actively engaged in litigation in Wisconsin, where the parties are at loggerheads over an array of issues including voter identification, and in New Mexico, where the battle involves vote-by-mail. The skirmishing has also spread across key states like Pennsylvania and Georgia, where the well-organized Trump apparatus has fought over changes that could sway the outcome of the election.

The enterprise — which includes more than two dozen GOP officials, including lawyers dedicated entirely to litigation — shows how completely the pandemic has upended the 2020 election. While litigation over voting issues is not uncommon, the coronavirus — and the likely obstacles it will create for voting in November — has brought the issue to the forefront of the campaign.
