I was so happy to hear that the USMCA will receive a floor vote in the Senate this week. Only a simple majority is required for it to be approved. I believe 80+ senators will vote in favor of it.

Once the vote occurs, it heads to our President for his signature. Canada will ratify it soon thereafter. Once that occurs, it goes into effect. NAFTA will be a thing of the past.

  • Passage of bill to implement accord is final step for Congress

The Senate will pass the U.S. trade deal with Mexico and Canada this week before President Donald Trump’s impeachment trial begins, Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said.

Passage of the accord will be good “for the Senate and the country,” McConnell said, adding that he expected the deal would get bipartisan support.

Several senators said they expected a vote in the chamber as soon as Thursday.

On Monday night Lou Dobbs had U.S.T.R. Robert Lighthizer on his show.

Robert Lighthizer’s job was to make sure the enforcement mechanism was in place in order to get our President to agree to the Phase One deal with China.

Lighthizer has been consistent since negotiations began to create an enforceable trade deal between the U.S. and China. His ace in his back pocket was that our President would have been just as happy with decoupling our economy from China.

China understood that and that is why they have accepted their medicine!

Tariffs aren’t going anywhere! The Multinationals, CoC, RHINOs, Democrats, MSM and folks on Wall Street truly believed that our President and his Killers were going to give away the store in their negotiations with China.

They are not happy to find out that the bulk of the tariffs will remain in place and will be used as a Sledgehammer by our EAGLE against the Dragon if he decides to renege on any part of the agreement.

From the article linked above:

  • Stocks were trading at all-time highs Tuesday, until a news service headline said no tariffs would be rolled back until a second phase trade deal is stuck between the U.S. and China.
  • Stocks then recovered some losses, but waffled, as investors look for more details, ahead of Wednesday’s signing of the trade deal.
  • “These tariffs have now become a roach motel,” said one analyst, meaning they never leave

Investors have been waiting for details of the “phase one” trade deal, expected to be signed between the U.S. and China Wednesday, but they may already know most of what’s in it and there may be little new.

So stocks were rattled, when Bloomberg news service Tuesday afternoon reported that tariffs were not expected to be lifted until a phase two deal.

“It’s not surprising. There was no blueprint to remove the tariffs. We saw that upon the announcement of a deal when they slightly trimmed some of the tariffs from 15% to 7.5% even though they left tariffs on all the existing goods,”Boockvar said. “The assumption was the tariffs would not come off until there was a phase two deal and Trump said the other day there would be no phase two until the after the election. It was always my belief they would not come off until we got a phase two deal. We’re still stuck with these tariffs which are a drag on growth in trade and manufacturing.”

Not only will China increase their purchases of our goods and services to ~$200 billion dollars a year (which includes ~$50 billion in agricultural products), we will still be collecting the following in tariffs:

  • 7.5% tariffs on $120 billion dollars worth of goods = $9 billion dollars
  • 25% tariffs on $250 billion dollars worth of goods = $62.5 billion dollars
  • Total collected from tariffs = $71.5 billion dollars

From the article linked above:

  • Sources confirm that China has committed to making large scale purchases of US$200 billion of American goods as part of the phase one trade deal
  • Purchase target for manufactured goods of around US$75 billion, with China also committing to buy huge amounts of energy, agriculture and services

The target for manufactured goods purchases will be the largest, worth around US$75 billion. China will also promise to buy US$50 billion worth of energy, US$40 billion in agriculture and US$35 billion to US$40 billion in services, the three people said.

It will contain an enforcement provision, through which the US will be unilaterally be able to reimpose tariffs should China not hold to its commitments, including the purchase agreements.

White House trade adviser Peter Navarro said in an interview with US broadcaster NPR on Monday that the enforcement mechanism permits US trade representative Robert Lighthizer to reimpose tariffs within a 90-day period.

“And if he thinks that hasn’t been addressed properly, we have [the right to impose a] proportionate response and the Chinese have promised not to retaliate,” said Navarro.

Don’t forget that China has already announced a rollback on tariffs they imposed on 850 items.

The Panda is not happy to take his medicine!

This an excellent thread by Heshmat that provides plenty of details about the JCPOA and what the U.K., France and Germany are currently considering.

Those tariffs on the automobiles from the EU may do the trick! Once again our President and his Killers have an ace in their back pocket.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said in an interview Tuesday that he welcomed replacing the Obama-era Iran nuclear deal with a new agreement negotiated by President Trump.

“If we’re going to get rid of it, let’s replace it and let’s replace it with the Trump deal,” Johnson told BBC, referencing the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) nuclear deal between Iran and world powers.

Johnson’s remarks came amid mounting pressure from Parliament to side with Trump and abandon the nuclear deal after Iran allegedly violated international law by detaining the British ambassador in Tehran for several hours over the weekend.

Everyone knows how I feel about Governor DeSantis of Florida. He is absolutely following our President’s playbook when it comes to immigration. I love the fact he is pushing the RINOs in Florida to pass E-Verify.

The MSM is 6 months late to the party.

From the article linked above:

Ron DeSantis is a political anomaly. At a time of extreme political polarization, the Florida Republican governor has appealed to constituencies far out of reach for most politicians in his party. With sky-high approval ratings, DeSantis could choose to be quiet during an election year and try to coast his way to reelection in 2022. Instead, he’s attempting to pass E-Verify, which is popular among voters but toxic to big business, the political class, and entrenched special interests. His political agenda may win him few fans in the state capital but could launch him as Trump’s successor.

Democrats, MSM, RINOs, Leftists, Never Trumpers, CoC etc. are realizing that our President’s policies are working BIGLY at the southern border. All they can do is cry and complain about it.

From the article linked above:

There are a lot of statistics Mark A. Morgan, acting U.S. Customs and Border Protection commissioner, uses to show how Trump policies have helped to cut illegal immigration into the United States.

But there are two that he feels really make clear the victory his agency has had in the past year, and he highlighted them in a small meeting Tuesday.

First is daily apprehensions, a number that hit 4,600 at the height of the latest crisis in May. That has now dropped to 1,300.

What’s more, he said, the 21-daily average is below 1,000, a 78% cut. “That’s a dramatic reduction,” he said, in updating the numbers released last week.

Then there are the numbers of illegal immigrants “in custody.” That was a horrific 20,000 in May for an agency that has just 4,000 beds.

Now a quarter of those beds are unused.

“We were having those conversations back then about how the system was overwhelmed, there was overcrowding. We’re just not experiencing that now,” Morgan said.

“Currently, right now, what we’re seeing is our in-custody numbers right now are actually below 3,000, and it has been steady for the past few weeks,” he said.

As per Sidney Powell, General Flynn is withdrawing his guilty plea!

GOP sweep in special elections!
