News Roundup! Anecdotal, El Paso, Texas, Hero, Tweet Says It All, Antifa Better Heed the Warning From the Lt. Governor of Texas, Black Youth Unemployment, Joe diGenova’s Article, Breitbart Article With Kevin McCarthy On How GOP Will Win Back the House, Thread Dissecting the Midterms by Unseen1…..

In yesterday’s news roundup, numbersgirl1620 posted the following anecdotal:

I was traveling yesterday and listened to talk radio station out of Youngstown, Ohio. They had an “open mic” segment where callers could give a short, one sentence comment about anything. At least 95% were pro Trump. Not one pro-democrat. I was beyond shocked! The area has been a pro-union, pro-democrat area my entire life (60 years). Like Flep keeps telling us – the movement is real, folks!

Youngstown is a perfect example of the Forgotten Men and Women. Democrats took them and others throughout fly over country for granted. They knew they would get their vote regardless if they did nothing to better their lives. If anything, they took advantage of their vote by gutting their communities.

Youngstown was severely impacted with massive jobs and manufacturing losses resulting from horrible trade deals (i.e. NAFTA) and weak economic policies over several administrations.

It took PDJT and the Movement to show them that reality. Our President visited Youngstown multiple times (while campaigning in 2016 and after being elected).

Our President held a rally on July 25, 2017.

Donald Trump ‘Massive’ Ohio Rally Full Replay: Trump Mocks Top Backer Chris Christie, Rips John Kasich

CNN took a production crew to Youngstown, Ohio to talk to formerly registered Democrats who switched parties in 2016 in order to support Donald Trump.

A year into President Trump’s administration, CNN asked them if they still support Donald Trump.  The answers seemed to confound the questioner, CNN’s Martin Savage.  And when the topic of illegal immigration surfaces, Savage’s head almost explodes.

Look who is going back representing our President. Ivanka Trump and Secretary Carson will be visiting Youngstown again tomorrow.

From the article linked above:

Local officials are expected to attend some or part of the three-stop tour, including Trumbull County Commissioner Mauro Cantalamessa, who said he is looking forward to hearing what the adviser to the president and the U.S. secretary of Housing and Urban Development have to say about workforce development and opportunity zones.

The tour is expected to stop 1 p.m. at City Machine Technologies Inc. on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Youngstown, 2 p.m. at the Youngstown Business Incubator and 3 p.m. at Stambaugh Auditorium.

A roundtable discussion at the auditorium will focus on workforce development and opportunity zones.

When folks in Youngstown hear our President say that he wants to MAGA, they can see it in his actions. He and his administration are not taking them for granted. That is why I am not surprised by numbersgirl1620’s report.

My heart and prayers go out to the victims in El Paso, Texas. Be wary of the reports that have come out yesterday and what will come out today.

I don’t know this reporter from the Washington Examiner but she has referenced that things that might come out later.

She also updated an article that she wrote earlier in the day as information was shared with her.

From the article linked above:

Twenty people were killed and more than two dozen others were injured in a late-morning shooting at a Walmart in El Paso, Texas, Gov. Greg Abbott announced Saturday evening.

“Texas grieves with the people of El Paso today,” the Republican governor said in a press conference joined by other officials and law enforcement.

El Paso Police Chief Greg Allen said the suspect in custody is a 21-year-old white man from Allen, Texas. He would not name the individual, but a law enforcement source in El Paso told the Washington Examiner that Patrick Crusius was taken custody.

This young man shows us what is GREAT about America!

From the article linked above:

  • U.S. Army Spc. Glendon Oakley told reporters he picked up as many small kids as he could and hauled them out of the store Saturday
  • He’s a retired Army veteran originally from Killeen Texas
  • Oakley told MSNBC he was shopping in a sporting goods store inside the Cielo Vista Mall Saturday when a child came in and said there was an active shooter
  • He didn’t believe the child until he went into the plaza and heard gunshots
  • While fleeing the scene, Oakley said he noticed a group of panicking children and tried to carry as many out as he could
  • A police officer momentarily questioned Oakley once he made it out into the parking lot, attempting to make sure Oakley wasn’t the shooter

This tweet speaks the truth! I hate the Left, Democrats, MSM etc. whenever these tragedies happen.

I am grateful for this man and others like him.

The POS known as Antifa better listen to what the Lt. Governor had to say about them coming to El Paso.

You can can find his full interview below.

Andrew Pollack is absolutely right!

From the article linked above:

The American economy is providing jobs for younger African-Americans at an unprecedented level.

In July, the unemployment rate for African-Americans between the ages of 16 and 19 fell to a seasonally adjusted 17.7 percent, the lowest rate since the government began tallying the figures in the early 1970s.

A total of 762,000 young African-Americans had jobs in July, according to the most recent data from the Department of Labor. That’s the highest number on record. The labor force participation rate climbed to 38.8, up from 36.3 a year ago.

PDJT is a WINNER! All Americans have every opportunity to WIN under him.

I agree with Joe diGenova.

From the article linked above:

The decision not to prosecute former FBI Director James Comey over his deliberate leaks to the media isn’t a sign of weakness or lack of will, but of the professionalism and well-reasoned restraint of President Trump’s Department of Justice.

Attorney General Bill Barr’s number one goal since taking the helm at the DOJ has been to restore the impartial and professional ethos that has characterized that agency for more than 200 years.

He is working diligently to cleanse it of the stain of politically driven vindictiveness that Obama-era officials created by grossly mishandling the Clinton email investigation, and then, even more egregiously, orchestrating the series of events that led to the Russiagate witch hunt.

Attorney General Barr made the right call. This would have been the first major charging decision of this investigation, which is not the time to go all in on a “maybe” case. To do so would create exactly the appearance of political vindictiveness and retributivist prosecution he is working so hard to dispel.

House Minority Leader, Kevin McCarthy, had an extensive one hour interview with Breitbart on how the Republicans will win back the House in 2020.

From the article linked above:

Republicans only need to net win back 20 seats from Democrats to retake their majority in the U.S. House of Representatives, and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy broke down the GOP plan to do just that in an exclusive interview with Breitbart News that aired Saturday morning.

“There are 31 seats that Democrats sit in today that President Trump carried,” McCarthy said. “Of those 31, 13 of them President Trump carried by more than six points. So, here you have the socialist wing of the party trying to take them further left, when the only way they have the majority is actually winning in Republican areas—areas that would be swing districts.”

Currently, Republicans hold 198 seats in the House. A majority in the House is 218 seats. So, if Republicans take back those 13 seats from Democrats in districts that Trump won by more than six percent, and seven more from the remaining 18 districts that Democrats represent that Trump won—while holding what they currently have—or find some other way to net gain 20 seats, they can retake the majority in 2020.

Fundraising for Republicans is on the upswing as well, as McCarthy has picked up a lot of slack that former House Speaker Paul Ryan—one of the GOP’s 41 retirements last cycle—left behind. McCarthy, according to numbers released in early July, raised a record $33.7 million for Republicans this year so far—a number that has certainly increased since then—as compared with Ryan’s paltry numbers in the 2018 cycle.

Breitbart News ran several stories about McCarthy’s significant improvement over Ryan, something President Trump noticed and tweeted about in July:

unseen1 wrote a fantastic thread back in March when he dissected the 2018 midterms in the House.
