No words were necessary in this incredible video. It brought tears to me eyes to watch it and witness it. Our President is the first sitting President to step foot in North Korea.
Both leaders had an opportunity to share some words with the press.
Tucker Carlson was there & shares his firsthand account:
“THE PRESIDENT WAS IN ROBUST FORM & CLEARLY THRILLED”
Our President was later asked to recount the moment and first words with Chairman Kim when they approached the North-South line of demarcation. Our President said he asked Chairman Kim, “would you like me to come across. Kim said he would be honored. It was my honor to do it.”
Our President and Chairman Kim held a 45 minute bilateral meeting. Afterwards, all three leaders walked back together towards the demarcation line between North and South Korea. PDJT and Chairman Kim exchanged words for a few seconds and shook hands before Chairman Kim crossed back, alone, to the North.
“IF IT WAS NOT FOR OUR EXCELLENT RELATION BETWEEN THE TWO OF US IT WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN POSSIBLE TO HAVE THIS MEETING.”
“I WOULD LIKE TO USE THIS STRONG RELATION TO CREATE MORE GOOD NEWS WHICH NOBODY EXPECTS”
– 🇰🇵North Korean Chairman Kim Jung Un
The meeting is over.
All 3 leaders exit the building.
President Trump walks with Kim Jung Un back to the border.
“A lot has already come up, because you see what’s going on, and you see what’s happening and you see the level of relationship as opposed as to the way it was when I came into office. Someday this will be reported accurately.”
“I would like to pay my tribute to the creative & bold approach that President Trump has demonstrated.”
– South Korea President Moon
“I want to thank our Secret Service & all of the people that worked so hard, our Military in particular because setting something up like this so quickly is very hard.”
PDJT said, “Would you like me to come across the line?”
Chairman Kim said, “I would be so honored” also
PDJT said, “What happened today was great for South Korea, I think it’s great for North Korea, I think it’s great for the world.”
Our President also was able to speak to the troops stationed in South Korea.
Here is an excellent thread with more videos capturing the moment.
What a time to be alive!
